An improv director is your coach during rehearsals or workshops. Their role is to:

• Teach fundamental improv skills and principles.
• Run exercises to develop specific skills (character work, object work, scenework, etc.).
• Observe rehearsals or practice scenes and provide constructive feedback ("notes") to help the players improve individually and as an ensemble.
• Help the group identify and overcome bad habits or recurring problems.
• Guide the group in exploring specific improv forms or structures (like the Harold, Armando, La Ronde, etc.).
